Benefits and requirements

Bank online in DATEV Unternehmen online offers the following advantages:

  1. Efficient administration
    • Online monitoring of all account movements.
    • Quick and easy overview of the entire financial situation.
  2. Transparency
    • Insight into open and paid invoices at any time.
    • Immediate detection of deviations or discrepancies.
  3. Minimised accounting effort
    • Bank transactions are available digitally, which reduces manual input in financial accounting.
    • Save time and simplify accounting processes.
  4. Execute payments directly
    • Payments can be made directly in the platform via a secure interface to the bank without having to switch between different systems.
  5. Optimised collaboration
    • Simple digital document exchange with us.
    • More efficient communication and improved work processes.

A DATEV authentication medium and the right to access Banking online are required to use Banking online as well as a business account with a German IBAN. If additional users are required, the form for requesting a DATEV access medium can be completed quickly and easily.

Notice: The following functions cannot be used with every bank. We are therefore happy to support our clients in selecting a bank that is compatible with DATEV Banking online.

Options for connecting a bank account to DATEV Unternehmen online

EBICS
EBICS stands for Electronic Banking Internet Communication Standard. It is a European standard for the secure exchange of payment transaction data via the Internet. EBICS is mainly used in Germany, France, Switzerland and Austria.

Special features: A DATEV programme must be installed for approval, no Tan procedure is necessary here, and no online banking access is required.

HBCI
HBCI stands for Homebanking Computer Interface. It is an open standard for online banking that was developed in Germany.

Special features: Only online banking access data of the respective bank and a tan generator are required.

DATEV RZ Bankinfo
DATEV RZ-Bankinfo is a DATEV service that enables electronic account transactions to be automatically retrieved from banks and stored in the DATEV cloud.

Special features: It is not possible to call up account transactions manually, transfers can only be carried out via detours.

Setting up the electronic transmission channels in DATEV Unternehmen online

If you change an existing bank account, set up a new bank account or change the transfer method, please send an e-mail to it@jakus.tax so that the information can be stored in our system.

EBICS

Requirements:

  • EBICS access data from the bank is available.
  • An authentication medium for the DATEV online programmes is available (ATTENTION: The registered access always refers to the authentication medium with which it is set up. If more than one authentication medium is used per person, the access must be set up on each medium. The extent to which this is technically possible must be enquired with the respective bank).

Installation:

  1. Log in to DATEV Unternehmen online and go to the Banking online application.


  2. Add bank account: Click “Bankkonto hinzufügen/bearbeiten”/”Add/edit bank account”.

    Notice: We should have already entered the bank details here. If this is not the case, please send an e-mail to: it@jakus.tax.



  3. Click on “Bankverbindung verwalten”/”Manage bank account details”.


  4. Select the bank account, click on “EBICS-Zugang”/”EBICS access” and then on “Neu/Hinzufügen”/”New/Add”.


  5. Enter the EBICS access data provided by the bank.

  6. Approval and synchronisation: Confirm the setup with the respective authentication procedure.

  7. Testing: We recommend performing a test transfer to ensure that the connection works correctly.
HBCI

Requirements:

  • Online banking access data from the bank is available.
  • An authentication medium for the DATEV online programmes is already available (ATTENTION: The registered access always refers to the authentication medium with which it is set up. If several authentication media are used per person, the access must be stored on each medium).

Installation:

  1. Log in to DATEV Unternehmen online and go to the Banking application.


  2. Add bank account: Click “Bankkonto hinzufügen/bearbeiten”/”Add/edit bank account”.

    Notice: We should have already entered the bank details here. If this is not the case, please send an e-mail to: it@jakus.tax.



  3. Click on “Bankverbindung verwalten”/”Manage bank account details”.


  4. Select bank details, click on “HBCI-Zugang”/”HBCI access” and then on “Neu/Hinzufügen”/”New/Add”.


  5. Follow the instructions in the pop-up window and enter the bank’s HBCI access data.
RZ-Bankinfo

requirements:

  • The bank in question offers the transfer of transactions via RZ-Bank.
    Notice: As the list of participating banks is constantly changing, we are happy to provide information by e-mail at: it@jakus.tax.
  • An authentication medium for the DATEV online programmes is available.

Setup:

  1. Log in to DATEV Unternehmen online and go to the Bank application.


  2. Add bank account: Click “Bankkonto hinzufügen/bearbeiten”/”Add/edit bank account”.

    Notice: We should have already entered the bank details here. If this is not the case, please send an e-mail to: it@jakus.tax.



  3. Click on “Bankverbindung verwalten”/”Manage bank account details”.


  4. Click on “Umsatzabholung”/”Retrieve transactions” and tick the box next to Retrieve account transactions and save in archive EDI way set.


  5. Click “Übernehmen”/”Accept” .

  6. A PDF document should now open, which must now be filled out, signed and sent to the respective bank. If this is not the case, please send an e-mail to: it@jakus.tax.

Filter bank transactions

Requirements:

  • An authentication medium for the DATEV online programs is available.
  • The rights for the application are activated for the owner of the medium.
  • The bank details have been connected to DATEV Bank online and bank transactions can already be seen in Bank online.

Procedure:
Log in to DATEV Unternehmen online and select the bank account for which transactions are to be displayed in the overview.



The following functions are now available here:

1. sorting the transactions:

Please click on the relevant column heading (e.g. “Buchungsdatum”/”Booking date”, “Empfänger/Auftraggeber”/”Recipient/client”, “Betrag”/”Amount”).


2. filtering of transactions:

The following filter criteria are available for selection:

  • Geprüft-Status/”Approved status”
  • Zeitraum/”Time period”
  • Schnellsuche/”Quick search”: Here you can search specifically for an invoice number, for example.


Then please click on “Anzeigen”/”Show”.


Add notes to the transactions

Log in to DATEV Unternehmen online and select the bank account for which transactions are to be displayed in the overview.



2. select the transaction for which you want to leave a note and click on “Notiz”/”Note”.



3. leave a note and click on “speichern”/”Save”.




Making bank transfers

1. Log into DATEV Unternehmen online and click on “Execute payments” in the overview.



2. Click on the small “plus sign (+)” .



3. Save all required payment details and click on “An Bank senden”/”Send to bank”.




Assign documents to transactions

Log in to DATEV Unternehmen online and select the bank account for which transactions are to be displayed in the overview.



2. Select the transaction to which a document is to be assigned and click on “Suchen”/”Search” under Beleg/document.



3. Find the appropriate document either via the Zuordnungsvorschlag/assignment suggestion or the manuelle Belegsuche/manual document search . As soon as this is found, click on “Beleg zuordnen”/”Assign document”.
